SALT - CARE

CARE stands for Christian Adventure Recreation Exercise.  We organize various types of walks which cater to the different fitness and interest levels of all participants.

Walks are usually held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays catering to different levels.

Level 1: Easy

Minimal elevation, mostly paved flat paths, hike at slow pace, less than 2.5 hours

Level 2: Moderate

Some elevation, paths may be uneven, rough, rugged & may include slopes e.g. forest trails, hike at moderate pace, exceed 2.5 hours (Hiker is able to walk 1km, about distance of 3-4 bus stops in 15mins)

Level 3: Difficult

More elevation with steep slopes, rugged & undulating terrain, hike at fast pace, exceed 3.5 hours (Hiker is able to walk 2km in 25mins)

Level 4: Challenging

More elevation with very steep slopes, extensive rugged & undulating terrain which may have more than 100 steps per section, hike at fast pace, exceed 4 hours (Hiker is able to walk 2km in 20mins)

We conduct brisk walking training at regular intervals to equip beginners (or anyone interested) with the right skills to combine deep breathing with brisk walking techniques in order to hike safely and for longer distances.

Special walks such as local heritage and cultural trails, Coast-to-Coast hiking and others are conducted occasionally.

Overseas travel trips may be organized from time to time.  This activity has been suspended until international leisure travel is permitted.

All activities are announced in the WhatsApp chatgroup SALT-ANNOUNCEMENT.
Do contact us for more details or to discuss on the level of walks suitable for you.
